10th Annual “Conquer the Mountain” 5K Run and Walk To Benefit First Responders

Phillipsburg, NJ — On Sunday, October 12, 2014, hundreds of runners and walkers will “Conquer the Mountain” in the 10th annual quest to raise money for local volunteer emergency responders.

“Conquer the Mountain” climbs Jugtown Mountain, crossing from Hunterdon into Warren County. The course is easily walkable for all activity levels, but a challenge for runners who want to test themselves with an uphill course.

What’s most important: all proceeds go directly to local volunteer fire and rescue squads.

“These heroes put their lives on the line for us every day,” says Cheryl Fuhrmann, organizer of the race and owner of the lead sponsor, U.S. Family Martial Arts Center of Phillipsburg. “They are truly our guardian angels.”
