Here’s a short story about giving thanks to the local heroes on our fire and rescue squads. Click on this post’s title to read the full story!
Patrick Schneider, a photographer from the Charlotte, NC newspaper The Observer, was photographing a house fire in July 1999.
Patrick noticed Cinnamon, a pregnant red Doberman, looking at Jeff Clark, the firefighter who had just saved her home.
The photographer watched her walking straight toward the firefighter, and wondered what she was going to do.
As Patrick raised his camera, Cinnamon came up to the tired man who had saved her life and the lives of her babies, and kissed him.
(Cinnamon saw how important it was to thank her guardian angel!)
